Understaffing: Nursing Home Negligence, NJ
Nursing homes must be properly staffed to care for its residents. Many nursing homes do not have sufficient staff for the resident population. The OBRA regulations require a certain amount of staffing with various levels of professional care sufficient to care for the population. Generally, there must be a Director of Nursing, Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Certain care must be performed by a registered nurse and cannot be delegated to support personnel.
